  • Parchment Paper

  • 1 pound ground sausage
  • 4 ounces shredded cheddar cheese
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 egg
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400℉.
  • Line a large baking sheet (approximately 11x13 inches) with parchment paper.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground sausage, cheddar cheese, cream cheese, egg, coconut flour, and salt.
  • Mix until all ingredients are fully incorporated.
  • Roll the mixture into approximately 17 sausage balls, about 2 inches in diameter each.
  • Place the sausage balls evenly on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake for 30 minutes, or until the sausage is cooked through and the sausage balls are lightly golden.
  • Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • The sausage balls shown in the photos are approximately 2 inches in diameter and yield about 17 sausage balls.
  • If you’d prefer smaller appetizer-sized sausage balls, roll the mixture into approximately 30 one-inch balls and reduce the baking time to 15–20 minutes.
  • I recommend lining your baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
  • Coconut flour helps hold everything together without the need for a traditional baking mix.
  • These sausage balls make a great breakfast, snack, or addition to a church fellowship table.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator and reheat as needed.
