- ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
- ¼ cup peanut butter
- ½ cup honey
- ½ cup sourdough discard
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- 4 cups rolled oats
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 325℉.
Melt the butter and peanut butter together until smooth.
In a large bowl, combine the honey, sourdough discard, vanilla extract, and melted butter mixture.
Stir in the brown sugar, rolled oats, and salt until well combined.
Fold in the chocolate chips.
Line a 9x9 baking pan with parchment paper.
Transfer the mixture to the prepared pan. Using a piece of parchment paper, press the mixture firmly and evenly into the pan.
Bake for 25-35 minutes, or until the top is lightly golden brown.
Allow the granola bars to cool completely.
Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour.
Cut into 12 bars and store in an airtight container.
