If you feel like your sourdough starter is too thick, just add a little more water—about a tablespoon at a time—until it reaches the right consistency. As for baking bread in a crockpot, I haven’t tried that myself, so I don’t have a solid answer for you there. I do, however, use an Oster Bread Machine Express Bake that I got on sale, and it has been fantastic!
